I don't understand anything in this class. I catch myself getting to the end of a textbook chapter and having to start back over because I can't remember anything I read!
This is a very typical obstacle many students face, so you are not alone! Oftentimes, it isn't that you don't understand the material, or you can't remember the material, but that you are "biting off more than you can chew". Instead of sitting down and reading an entire chapter, try setting a timer for five minutes. When the timer goes off, read to the end of that paragraph and then write down the key takeaway points. Now take a one-minute brain break and start the process over again. Whenever you hit the thirty-minute mark, stand up and take a five-minute break. At the one-hour mark, walk around, do some squats, look at your phone for ten minutes and then start the whole process again.

Does my personal statement have to be focused on a hardship in my life?
No, your personal statement does not have to be focused on any specific topic (unless specified). The best personal statements highlight your strengths, are tied to real-life examples and proof of your experiences, and leave the reader feeling like they got a glimpse into who you are as an applicant.

A patient presents to the Emergency Room unable to walk. They tell you that they are in excruciating pain. Upon physical exam, you note that their right posterior thigh is erythematous, edematous, hard to the touch, and very warm. You suspect posterior compartment syndrome. The posterior compartment of the thigh receives blood supply from which artery?
The posterior compartment of the thigh receives blood supply from two arteries, the deep femoral artery, and the inferior gluteal artery. The vast majority of the blood supply is from the deep femoral artery, so if both answers are listed, always pick deep femoral artery!
