I attended Washington State University for my Bachelor's Degree in Communication, and the University of Washington Tacoma for my Master's Degree in Education with a focus in Special Education. I have been a teacher for five years, working in Tacoma, Washington, as well as at an international school in La Paz, Bolivia. My main focus when tutoring is to consistently check for understanding and to make sure that I am pushing my students while providing the support that they need.

I returned to the American Cooperative School in La Paz, Bolivia this year to teach fifth grade. I currently teach there.

There, I worked with students from a variety of backgrounds and helped to push those who needed a challenge, while supporting students who needed extra help. I also assisted in the restructuring of the Learning Lab for special education students, where I collaborated with the classroom teacher and parents to write individualized education plans and set specific learning goals for 16 students.
