About Aneesah
Hello, I'm Aneesah and I am a sophomore at Columbia University majoring in Political Science with a concentration in Economics. Both of these areas of study require an acute knowledge of English and math which I have mastered through learning and teaching.
Teaching Experience
During my freshman year of college, I was a TASC (GED) Specialist where I taught 4 levels of math classes and English classes, respectively. I taught classes in basic arithmetic, algebra 1, algebra 2, geometry, and calculus I. For reading, I taught a variety of classes on grammar, reading comprehension, and advanced essay writing. After class, I offered an hour-long tutoring session which students not only in my class but in other classes attended. I tutored up to 10 students at once but found one-on-one tutoring to be the most effective.
