Name one Freudian theory and explain its function
Freudian theories rely on past (mostly infant and child) repressed memories that are related to the sexual tension between different relations. One of the most common theory is Oedipus Complex in which he explains that a child feels sexual energy towards the opposite sex parent around the age of 12 which leads to negative and harmful thoughts towards the same sex parent. The motivation to kill the same sex parent and take their place to attract the same sex parent is the theory behind Oedipus complex.
Explain the difference between DNA (Deoxyribonucleic acid) and RNA (ribonucleic acid)?
DNA is the smallest and the most important aspect of a living thing. It determines what features are hidden and expressed, along with the makeup of the organs, muscles, tissues, down to every cell. It is found in the nucleus of a cell and gets separated in two strands during mitosis or the doubling of the cell. The most important aspect of DNA comes into play when it creates a zygote with half DNA from one parent and another half from the 2nd parent. Whereas RNA is single-stranded nucleic acid. RNA converts the genetic information contained within DNA to a format used to build proteins and then moves it to ribosomal protein factories
What different fields of Anthropology pertain in the industry right now? Pick one to elaborate on why it is the most important one.
There are 5 different fields of Anthropology, Biological, Cultural, Linguistic, Archeological, and Applied. I believe the most common Anthropology that started around the 18th century was Archeology. It was not until the 20th century when Levi Staruss, Durkeheim, and Morgan came around to evolve the cultural anthropology as its own discipline. Which is why I believe that Cultural or Social Anthropology is the most important and path-breaking field to come around Anthropology. Even though biological Anthropologists were making remarkable progress in questioning the granted answers in the world, it was not until the Cultural Anthropologists came around to answer those questions in the culturally apt way.
