About Kailey
When I'm not engaged with schoolwork, I'm involved in a number of extracurricular activities. I raise money with Global Health Organization, work with local refugees, and volunteer with neurodiverse individuals. I love working with other people, and I hope to pursue a career in medicine. In my free time, I enjoy reading, sewing, and knitting. I'm also an avid dog lover and appreciate getting out to enjoy my beautiful home state of Alaska, whether that be via hiking, camping, or skiing.
Teaching Experience
My first exposure to tutoring was in middle school, simply in the form of helping my younger brother and his friends with their math homework. I had more teaching opportunities arise as time went on; in high school, I volunteered to help peers with math homework and writing essays. I was also able to work with a group of fellow students to partner with neurodiverse students at our school; we taught them about science and did engaging labs to reinforce the concepts.
