The sum of two times N and 5 Any two of these examples will work as an answer to this problem. Notice when I used to sum of I had to use the word and to take the place of the plus sign.

In order to solve for x you would first have to add 5 to both sides of the equal sign. Once you have completed that step move on to dividing the 2 on both sides of the equal sign in order to find what x equals. By doing so you find that x = 8.
