Question:

When we say this line in Electrical Engineering- "Current is flowing in the circuit" , is it some physical entity called "Current" which is actually flowing or is it something else which is flowing?

Prateek P.
Answer:

This is a very basic concept but 90% of the people don not know the correct answer to this question. The answer is there is no physical entity called CURRENT which is flowing through the circuit, it's the ELECTRONS which is flowing through that circuit and as electrons flow, we tend to say that current is flowing in the direction opposite to the direction of flow of electrons. But in reality there is no physical entity called Current, it;s the electrons which flow in the circuit.
