Question:

Describe a basic structure for a well organized literature analysis.

Laurel M.
Answer:

The first paragraph would contain some background information and end with the thesis (what you intend to discuss and how it will prove one primary point). The following paragraphs, at least three, should begin with a relevant topic sentence connecting the previous paragraph and the current paragraph. These paragraphs should include direct quotes with a detailed personal analysis. The final paragraph should discuss how these points all come together to prove the point made in the thesis statement.

What is the difference between a major and minor scale?

Laurel M.

A major scale has a brighter sound whereas a minor scale is much darker. The step pattern (space between notes) for a major scale is always whole, whole, half, whole, whole, whole, half. Question:

How are the Cannon-Bard Theory and the James-Lange Theory different and in what ways are they similar?

Laurel M.
Answer:

Both theories involve the way in which the body responds to stimuli and convert them into emotions. The Cannon-Bard theory separates the physiological response (such as sweating or increased heart rate) and the conscious emotional feelings (feeling scared or angry). The James Lange Theory states that the emotional stimulus leads to a physiological response which then leads to a conscious awareness of emotions.
