We use the Chebysheff's Theorem to calculate the answer, i.e the proportion of observations in any sample that lie within k standard deviations of mean is at least 1 - 1/k^2 (where K>1) Therefore, our answer is = 1-1/2^2 = 3/4th of all the observations in any sample will lie within 2 standard deviations of the mean.
