### Subject: Calculus

Find (fg)' where f(x) = 2(x^2) and g(x) = 6x - 11.

(fg)' = 36(x^2) - 44x

### Subject: Algebra

Explain how to solve the polynomial equation f(x) = 2(x^2) + 5x - 3 using the quadratic equation. The quadratic equation is x = (-b +/- sqrt((b^2) - 4ac))/2a. (sqrt = square root)

When using the quadratic equation, you have three variables that you need numbers for: a, b, and c. In this equation a = 2, b = 5, and c = -3. You plug those numbers into the equation and simplify it to get x = {1/2, -3}. You can check your answer by setting the equation equal to 0 and plugging in the numbers you got.
