About Natalie
I'm currently a third year occupational therapy student at Maryville University. I have always had a strong desire to learn. I was the salutatorian of my high school. I am routinely on the Dean's List at Maryville and I am also a member of the honor society for occupational therapy students. Helping people is a passion of mine, which has strongly influenced my career choice. My goal is to help people achieve their full potential.
Teaching Experience
For the past year I have been giving Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) therapy sessions to a boy with autism twice a week. This has given me not only an understanding of general behaviors of children with autism, but also a greater knowledge of ways to handle these behaviors. During these sessions I provide a fun, positive spin on increasing independence, training social behaviors, and enabling the use of an iPad as a form of communication.

Work Experience
JCC Day Camp
2015 - 2015
During the summer of 2015, I was an inclusion counselor at JCC Day Camp. I was given the opportunity to work one-on-one with children from the ages of three to fifteen. This opportunity allowed me to grasp an understanding of ways to include children with disabilities into a group based on his/her age, diagnosis, skills, interests, and group activity.
