Why is grammar so important when learning to write well?
Some people think grammar is just a bunch of picky rules, but if you think about it deeper, grammar is the tool that helps you to communicate in a way so other people can understand. For example, if it's hard to tell what the subject of your sentence is, people often won't know what you're trying to say. A missing comma or a run on sentence leads to chaos! A beautifully crafted sentence, however, is what formed the United States of America. There's no room for sloppy sentences when you're trying to make your voice heard.

What's the best way to remember things for a test?
Everybody has little trick up their sleeve when it comes to great studying, but learning to test well is a great asset. You can remember things more easily if you find out your learning style. For example, people who have a great memory for music can set words or phrases to a well-known tune. Then, during the test, it's easier to remember. There are hundreds of other great methods for studying.
How can I even begin to understand and write about Shakespeare?
Shakespeare is tough to understand, but once you learn a little bit about how he writes, you'll have an easier time. For example, Shakespeare uses something called poetic devices when he writes, and a lot of them aren't even used today! Once you know that he's using language you're not used to, you can start looking for the meaning behind it. Plus, many of his works follow a basic formula, and once you know it, you can look for people and events and follow the timelines more easily!
