Question:

What is my involvement in Italy and Italian?

Zach T.
Answer:

It all started in 1908, when all of my great grandparents made the journey from Italy to the USA to start a new life. My grandparents spoke a dialect of Italian (Piemontese). I have always had a great fondness for Italy and all things Italian. I have been to Italy many times and still have relatives there that I speak to in Italian everyday.

What was the turning point in WW2?

Answer:

I think there are 3 turning points in WW2. Two of those turning points pertain to US history. The other turning point in WW2 was when Germany decided to attack Russia, especially before winter. At first, it seemed like a great idea as they drove into Russian territory but soon winter set and this changed the tide of the war. Another turning point in WW2, was December 7, 1941. This is when the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor! This caused the USA to enter to war and help turn the tide. A Japanese general supposedly said "We have awoken a sleeping giant." Another turning point would be D-Day. This helped turn the tide on the European front

Question:

If minimum wage is raised, what would be the results we would see as a community?

Answer:

There are many pros and cons in raising the minimum wage. There is no easy solution to whether it is beneficial or not. If the minimum wage was increased then businesses would have to lower their workforce (firing and laying people off). But also, if you raise minimum wage, you could reduce the poverty rate. As you can see, there are many pros and cons to this issue and it is not as cut and dry as it seems.
