What is the best way to start an essay?
An essay typically needs an introductory paragraph. The best way to start this paragraph is with something called a hook. This hook is a sentence that draws the reader in and makes them excited to read your essay. It doesn't have to be a sentence. It can be a question or a bold statement. It just needs to be something more creative but still on topic with what you are talking about in your essay.
What is Tuckman's model of group development?
Tuckman's model says that there are 4 stages to group development. These steps are not necessarily sequential as a group can go back and forth between the four. These stages are forming, storming, norming, and performing. Forming is the actual formation of the group. This is where the sense of belonging is created. Storming is when tensions begin to arise. These tensions can be primary, initial uneasiness that comes along with being in a new group, or secondary, tensions and problems that arise later on in groups such as arguments. These tensions are not necessarily bad and will almost always occur. Norming is when group norms, both explicit, those that are stated, and implicit, those that are assumed, are created. Performing is when members of the group start actually doing things. Group members are more likely to perform well when they feel that other people value their work.
