What is good writing?
A board and general question that may search for objectivity and never find it. This is a terrible question because is depends on the definition of "good." I would say memorable writing is feeling that the reader can identify with. Good writing is something that allows a reader to get lost in their own imagination. The quest for good writing is what makes things worth reading.
What are two fundamentals that are essential to effective studying?
Organization and time management are two essential fundamentals for effective studying. Staying organized can eliminate distraction and can assist in holding any student accountable for their study responsibilities. Being able to manage time effectively can lead to efficient study habits. Knowing how to maximize study time can eliminate idle thoughts and keep the mind focused.
If you were required to teach any skill to another individual that did not speak the same language, how would you do it? Give an example.
Being that the language barrier will make it very difficult to communicate, body language will be very important. Over exaggeration of movements and demeanor can be critical in relaying a message. For example, if you were to teach someone how to shoot a basketball you would demonstrate the correct way to do so in an slightly over exaggerated way so the student can pick up on macro and micro movements. Then you would have the student go through the shooting motion without the ball. Repeat this step 4-5 times. Afterward, place the basketball in the students hand and allow them to experience the correct form for themselves. This can all be done without any verbal communication.
