How to I write a good essay?
Always start with an outline. Write the essay in the required format-don't go back and try to re-format at the end. Have all or most of your sources ahead of time. Do not try to achieve any required minimum word count by adding unnecessary words or run on sentences. Get someone to proofread and listen to their suggestions. Put your personality in your work!
How do I best prepare for an exam?
Study over time. Look over your notes every day right after class. Set aside a specific time daily for homework. Don't just do submitted homework-alose review all the work and notes for each class. Never cram before a test. Keep a healthy lifestyle and a consistent schedule and always make sure to follow your teacher's advice (if a video is posted for the class online WATCH IT, if there is a textbook READ IT). Know how you learn and set a schedule that fits you.
What is the main difference between film acting and stage acting?
Film acting can be repeated over and over again until the actor and director feel like they have done a great job. It requires practice and rehearsal, but film acting can be re-done. Stage acting is live. It requires weeks-months of rehearsal and there are no do-overs if something goes wrong. Film actors are also often more subtle than stage actors because camera's and close ups can pick up emotion in more detail than when you are just watching someone on stage. Stage actors must be more flamboyant with their voices, expressions, and movements.
