How does the formation of ATP relate to ADP?
The whole point of ATP synthase is to carry energy from one part of a cell, to another. For ADP to become ATP it undergoes phosphorylation. Phosphorylation is just a fancy word to say that one Phosphate is attached to an ADP molecule. Then, the ATP molecules can carry their extra Phosphate to what cell tissue really needs more oxygen. The process of breaking down the energy to create ATP molecules is called cellular resperation.
How do you find the derivative of a function using the power rule? (ex. x^2)
To use the power rule you first take the power that the function is raised to, in this case, 2, and multiply the entire function by it. (2x^2) Next, you subtract 1 from the power the function is raised to (2x^(2-1)), leaving you with the derivative of 2x^1, or just 2x.
I don't understand what elasticity is?
Elasticity is simply how much companies are able to change the price of an object, while maintaining consumers. It correlates with now necessary a good is; normal goods are inelastic because people have to still buy them. Food and water are inelastic because no matter how high the price goes you'll continue to buy food because you need it. An elastic good is something you don't really need, such as a brand new car. When the company raises the price, you're less likely to buy it because it's too expensive.
