Question:

How are pronouns used in Italian?

Erika S.
Answer:

Pronouns can be either direct or indirect. These are the direct pronouns: mi, ti, ci, vi, lo, la, li, le. They function as the object in a sentence and usually precede a verb. Example: No lo vedo da anni. If there are two verbs in a sentence or the verb is in imperative form then the pronoun will follow the verb. Example: Verrò a trovarti domani. Guardalo! These are the indirect pronouns: mi - a me, ti - a te, ci - a noi, vi - a voi, gli - a lui/a loro, le - a lei. They are used when the verb is followed by "a". They usually precede the verb. Example: Non vi ho telefonato. They form a single word when followed by an imperative form of the verb. Example: Scrivigli! Portami il giornale!

Question:

What are the fundamental aspect to take into account when designing an experiment?

Erika S.
Answer:

In any experimental design you have to first identify your research question and make it very specific. Then it's of fundamental importance to identify your independent and dependent variables. Once you have identified what you are going to manipulate and measure you have to figure out how. This pertains to the methods section of your study; you will identify your participants and the conditions of the experiment you will assign them to.
