How does one discover their learning style?
There are a number of questions to ask a student in order to ascertain their best method of study. To find a verbal learner, one would ask themselves if they remember names/places/dates well?; like playing with the sound of words on their tongue?; wish to discuss topics they've recently learned? Logistical learners ask themselves if they memorize formulas, look for rational explanations, enjoy strategic games. Visual learners enjoy reading charts, daydreaming, doing visual puzzles and they see very well in colors. Physical learners work hands-on, usually study sports and outdoor activities, have a difficulty sitting still for long amounts of time, and like to touch things to study them. Intrapersonal/Solitary studiers enjoy working alone, find themselves aware of their own thoughts, work best in a quiet atmosphere, and sets many objectives. Interpersonal people work well in group projects, spend time with their educators, listen well, and love to discuss with others.
