Question:

I'm trying to write a program that asks the user for a random number, and my book says to use "raw_input()" but every time I do I get an error. What am I doing wrong?

Steven J.
Answer:

The problem may be because your book was written for a different version of python that you are using. Python versions 2.7 would use raw_input() to get user input, however this was changed after python 3.0 to use just the command "input()" Check which version of python you are using and try using input() instead.

Question:

How is "super" used in Object oriented programming?

Steven J.
Answer:

Super is used in a class to call a variable used in its parent class. For example, suppose a parent class has a student first and last name, and you want to write a class that extends this class and adds GPA: public studentNameGPA (String firstName, String lastName, int GPA) { super(firstName, lastName); setGPA(GPA); } Because the first and last name come from the extended class, you can use super to reference them.

Question:

How is DNA more stable than RNA?

Steven J.
Answer:

One reason is because RNA replicates using just RNA polymerase while DNA uses DNA polymerase plus additional associated proteins making DNA more efficient in proofreading newly synthesized strands reducing mutations, thus improving stability.
