I earned my BS in human biology with a psychology minor. I maintained a 3.687 GPA.
I am proficient in a wide variety of scientific topics, including general and organic chemistry, genetics, general biology, human anatomy, microbiology, and physiology. I've taken a wide variety of coursework in psychology, with topics including C.B.T., research methods, and psychopathology. My undergraduate statistics courses, focusing on both Excel and hand-written calculations, provided me with a firm understanding of entry level statistical methodology.
My own academic experience was highly community-based in that its adult students took active roles in the academic success of their peers. I participated in countless peer mentoring and tutoring sessions as both a teacher and as a learner throughout my career. I know what it's like to be in both roles.
Since graduating, I've become an ESL tutor. As such, I help adults learn to speak, read and write English to meet self-identified goals. I design lesson plans based on the needs and interests of my learner.
