1) Food is taken in through the mouth where saliva contains enzymes that break down the materials 2) When the food is swallowed, it passes through the esophagus into the stomach, where more enzymes from the stomach and the pancreas break down the food even further 3) Next, the food (now bile) is sent into the small intestine for even further breakdown into basic compounds (amino acids, fatty acids, sugars) 4) The bile enters the large intestine which removes all of the water from the bile, and does any final nutrient breakdown 5) The bile is then sent to the rectum where it is excreted through the anus
What is the key to an excellent literary analysis essay?
In writing literary analysis, there are five main elements recommended in creating an excellent essay: a thesis statement, quotations from the work(s), clarification of those quotations, organization, and a woks cited. Your thesis statement should be an umbrella statement on what the essay will discuss, but it will be detailed enough to pinpoint important details. It is imperative to include direct quotations from the work(s) being discussed. These will not only strengthen your point, but they will also aid you in your analysis. Next, it is important to clarify the quotations with analysis. This can be done by giving context of the quotation or by relating the quotation to the point being discussed. Organization is another necessity in literary analysis. Your paragraphs should read fluently without any awkward phrasing or pauses. Lastly, a works cited page acknowledges the author of the quotations which builds trust between you, the essay's author, and the reader.
