What is scope and what is the difference between global and local scope?
Scope is the code's ability to access variables depending on where they are declared. Local scope refers to variables declared within functions that are then only available within the same function. A different function in the same file will not have access. Global scope refers to variables that are declared outside functions which are then available to any function following.
