Subject: Study Skills
What are some the best study skills tactics in order to feel confident and have success when taking a test?
First and foremost, it is important to prioritize and schedule and to be realistic when doing so. From there, take the subject and topic in steps. Do not wait until the last minute to study and identify your problem areas. From there, review notes (notes should be detailed--jotting down concepts that professor repeats, paying attention to key concepts, create your own abbreviations that helps you), rewrite notes and set goals throughout, rewarding yourself (with a break or snack) when you accomplish each goal. It is important to study and review in a comfortable, well-lit setting and to understand the test format.
Subject: Digital Media
When thinking about the digital media trends and how it has adapted in the last few years, what are your thoughts of the future of digital media and why is it important to understand the trends?
In the world we live in, technology is at the top of the pyramid. Though it is still a growing trend, digital media is very important to understand and be able to digest in the workplace. The recent digital transformations and advancements in content practices have allowed businesses to connect and broaden their audience. There have already been several digital media tactics, including website articles, online case studies, social media and digital meetings, that have allowed business analytics and content growth. In the future, this will only continue to grow and become its own business more than it is today. The convergence of social, mobile and analytics in the future through digital media is the key to bringing in value to businesses, both in the United States and globally which is important. With this, the growth of digital media will not only increase the value of business-to-business but also the value of business-to-consumers.
How would you handle a crisis communication situation in the workplace? Please provide tactics that support your answer.
It is important to always have plans to help in any situation that may come up in the workplace, especially when dealing with a crisis. For starters, it helps to create a SWOT Analysis for your company and evaluate that twice a year. From that, you can examine the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats and work on creating a "call to action" plan for different scenarios. Whether is be an ethical issue or a last-minute press conference, being able to understand the trends of the company and analyzing it with the SWOT Analysis helps one be prepared in any situation thrown their way.
