Subject: Web Design
What does it mean to have an accessible web design?
An accessible web design is web pages that are usable by all users. This includes users with disabilities or special needs. This is accomplished by using Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) that have been approved by the W3C. This includes overall design principles to help screen readers navigate the page, alt tags with images, appropriate color contrast, font size, video captioning, etc. To find out more about the guidelines, visit the W3C website with a quick guide to the guideline. https://www.w3.org/WAI/WCAG21/quickref/.

Subject: Library and Information Science
What is the difference between library and information science?
The main difference between Information science and library science is that one is more theoretical and the other more applied. Information science is interdisciplinary and focuses on the organization and preservation of information. Classification systems like Dewey, LC, and EAD or other metadata and the computer software used to display this information is just one aspect that we all are familiar with. Library science uses principles of information and archival science to disseminate information, the most common medium for doing this is through the administration and management of libraries.
