For the last eleven years, I have been a tenure track librarian at Dixie State University in Saint George, Utah. My job responsibilities and my title have changed over time and grown into my current position as Head of Public Services. This includes managing resource sharing, circulation, reference, and the information commons. I successfully earned my tenure and have reached the top rank of Full Librarian (Professor).

I provide daily library instruction and research assistance to the faculty, students, and members of the community. I teach dozens of classes each semester helping students with finding resources, citation styles, and paper formatting. I also teach Children's Literature for the English department on my campus. Currently, I am working with our library dean to develop a library technician certification program, which will be embedded within an associate’s degree.
