Question:

What is the third decimal place of 0.046233?

Answer:

When determining the decimal place, you first have to look at the number after the decimal to the right. If the number is greater than zero, it is the first decimal place. if there is a zero in the first place after the decimal, it is NOT considered the first decimal place. In the example above, the first decimal place is the 4 and not the zero. count over two decimal places and the last number is the 2. The number after the two determines if the 2 should be rounded to a three or not. Since the number is less than 5, it will stay the same. Therefore the answer is 0.0462. Hope this helps!

Answer:

The sex of the offspring has a 50/50 chance of being a male or a female. This is determined using a punnett square. The female sex chromosomes are XX and the male chromosomes are XY. When you cross them you get a 50/50 chance of having XX or XY chromosomes. Therefore their is an equal chance of having a baby boy or girl. Hope this helps!

Answer:

For this question, you will need to use the slope-intercept formula (y2-y1)/(x2-x1). When you place the numbers in this formula, you get (4-3)/(3-(-1), which is equivalent to 1/4. Hope this helps!
