Can diabetes be reversed?
Type 2 Diabetes can absolutely be reversed through diet and exercise prior to full insulin dependence. Type 2 Diabetes is caused by insulin resistance. Reducing simple sugars, eating complex carbohydrates instead of simple ones, and exercising to decrease one's body fat percentage can allow the body to react to insulin normally again. Unfortunately, in Type 1 Diabetes, the issue is not that the receptors on the cells are not responding to the insulin; the issue is that the body is not able to produce the insulin. Insulin-dependent Type 1 Diabetes cannot be reversed through diet or exercise; insulin from an external source will continue to be required. That said, eating well and exercising moderately is generally helpful to one's health.
How can one possibly remember so many body parts?
Every structure has a function. Staring at the names of the structures for hours or mere memorization via flash cards (rote memorization) is the weakest way to remember something. By giving a context to the name of the structure and creating multiple neural pathways to retrieve that information, one increases the speed and ability of doing so and I can help you master that.
When am I ever going to use this?
In recipe conversions, do-it-yourself projects, price comparisons in the grocery store, medicine dose calculations, accounting, office management, budgeting, building rockets, ETA calculations for road trips, designing video game and app algorithms, understanding growth curves for science and economics, tipping, and graduating to get to into a field with less math if that's really what you still want! (And so much more!)
