Question:

What is a common misconception regarding the wealth of the United States during the 1920's?

Answer:

It is commonly taught that during the 1920's everyone was wealthy due to the stock market. While it is true that is was easier for people to make money due to the stock market rise, the divide between the rich and the poor was extremely wide. This also had to do with the fact that farmers were already experiencing a depression of their own. So, while it is true that the rich did become extremely wealthy during this time period, the same cannot be said for the rest of America.

Question:

In your class you have students that are performing below grade level, on grade level, and above grade level. When creating your lesson plans how will you accommodate for all of your students?

Answer:

When creating a lesson plan it is always important to include differentiated instruction. One way I could accommodate all students in my lesson plans is to start the lesson as a whole group and then break up the class into leveled groups. Each group would be working on the class assignment as I call individual groups for a one on one session with myself. We would go over the assignment at their speed. For the higher level students, I would either prepare a few extra questions for them to work on or ask them the questions orally during the session.
