About Priscilla

About Priscilla
I have over 17 years experience as a librarian in a university setting. I completed a M.S. degree in biology at Stephen F. Austin State University (SFA), where I studied the behavioral ecology of blue-tailed bee-eaters in Kinmen, Taiwan. My thesis research taught me the value of a good library, so I went on to earn a Master of Library Science degree from the University of North Texas' online program. I spent five years as the science librarian at SFA, then joined the American Public University System (APUS) online library team in 2007.

Teaching Experience

Teaching Experience
I have been an academic librarian for 17 years, coaching students through the library research process and teaching them to think critically about the information that they find. Since 2006, I have held remote positions at all-online universities, so I'm very familiar with the special challenges that online students face.
