How do I know when and where to put an accent mark on a word.
Spanish is a well structured language! There are rules for accent marks. For example, we put an accent mark on words in which the last syllable is emphasized in pronunciation that also end in "N", "S" or a vowel. Examples include "Presentación", "Pensé" and "Estás".
Subject: Inorganic Chemistry
What allows for certain elements to create chemical bonds, but not all?
Chemical elements are a group of particles that can hold a charge (positive or negative), or have no charge (i.e., be neutral). This will depend on the combination of positively and negatively charged particles that make up the element. Neutrally charged compounds are more stable than those with an electric charge, thus compounds tend to mix in such ways that the overall charge of the compound becomes neutral.
As stated by the first Law of Thermodynamics, energy can neither be created nor destroyed. What happens to the energy in a plant once it dies?
Energy in all living organisms are stored in chemical bonds within its mass, until broken down. For example, once dead, a tree will keep all energy stored in it until it either decomposes (in such way that decomposers break down and utilize this energy) or the energy is transformed, like when wood is burned.
