Pre-Calculus
TutorMe
Question:

Why do subjects in Pre-Calc even matter?

Erin J.
Answer:

I must admit, this is the question I asked myself when I studied the pre-calculus. Learning concepts without much application can be frustrating, but the payoff from learning them is immense. Calculus classes would be impossible without it, of course, but you're also building skills you can use in physics, in engineering, and in economics.

Arabic
TutorMe
Question:

What makes Arabic so challenging to study as an English-speaking student?

Erin J.
Answer:

In short, Arabic is very different from English! In fact, it comes from an entirely different family of languages. That's what sets it apart from Spanish or French. From sentence structure to conjugation to vocabulary, it can be a very intimidating topic to dive into. I know it was for me my Freshman year of high school. But 6 years later, I'm so happy to be studying it! It's a challenging language to be sure, but also a very rewarding one.

ACT
TutorMe
Question:

What's the trick to mastering the ACT?

Erin J.
Answer:

Remember that the ACT isn't a test of your personal intelligence! The ACT is a test about how well you can take the ACT, and the key to a great score is knowing what to expect--and how to respond!
