Fred is standing 200 meters away from the Eiffel Tower that stands 300 meters tall. A. Calculate the angle of elevation from Fred to the top of the Eiffel Tower.

The first thing you want to do is draw a photo. When you draw and label the photo you will realize that the current scenario represents a right triangle. In order to solve this problem we need to use right triangle trigonometry. So there's sin, cosine, and tangent. Since you have the side opposite and adjacent to Fred you will use the tangent function. This will be tan of the angle theta is equal to 300/200 since we are looking for an angle, we use the inverse. So, theta is equal to the inverse of tangent (300/200) = 56.3 degrees

In an Isosceles Triangle, what is true? Circle all that apply. A. All sides are equal B. All Angles are equal C. Two sides are equal D. Opposite angles are equal E. Two angles are equal

An isosceles triangle is a triangle with at least two equal sides, this means that all sides may be equal but that's not a guarantee. So C is definitely an answer. Another point that's important is the fact that if two sides are equal, then the angles are equal, so E is also a valid answer.

Samantha would like to order flowers for her wedding. Mary's Flower Association charges a $50 service fee and $10 per bouquet of flowers ordered. Leslie's Flower Mania charges a $35 service fee and $20 per bouquet of flowers ordered. A. If Samantha would like to order 75 bouquets of flowers for her wedding, which company has the best deal?

A. The first thing we need to do is set up equations that organize the information given to us. Mary's Flower Association charges 50+ PLUS 10 per bouquet so this would be represented as y=50+10x . As we are reading the question we don't know how many flowers Samantha would like to order so we call the number of bouquets x. The total amount of money she will be spending on flowers is y.Leslie's Flower Mania charges 35+ PLUS 20 per bouquet so this would be represented as y=35+20x .So everything we have done is just to organize information. Part A is now our actual question, in order to find out who has the best price we must take the 75 bouquets and substitute it for x because earlier we said that in each equation x was equal to the number of bouquets. So Mary's Flower Association charges 50+10(75)= $800 . Leslie's Flower Mania charges 35 + 20(75) = $1,535. As we can see Mary's Flower Association has the best deal as it's about $700 less than Leslie's company for 75 bouquets.
