Question:

What is the difference between "ser" and "estar"

Alvaro G.

Answer:

This is very tricky! How I decide which to use is based on if what I am saying is permanent or temporary. for example, I am singing. would use the verb estar because it is temporary while if you said something like, "I am a boy" it would use ser because you are permanently a boy. Another example of this can be with temperature. "I am hot" would use the verb estar because you will not always be hot.

Question:

What is opportunity analysis?

Alvaro G.

Answer:

Opportunity analysis is a detailed review of the prospects for a product within a potential market. For example, a product marketing manager for a business might request a detailed opportunity analysis for a partial product to help them forecast whether market demand conditions will support launching the product into that market.

Question:

Solve for x: 5 ( -3x - 2 ) - ( x - 3 ) = ( - 4 ( 4x + 5 ) + 13

Alvaro G.

Answer:

First thing you want to do is multiply the factors as so: -15x - 10 - x + 3 = -16x - 20 +13 The next thing you want to do is simplify like terms -16x - 7 = -16x - 7 Add 7 to both sides of the equation to simplify the equation. You can do this because you are adding the same number to both sides of the equation therefore you are not changing any part of the equation. Had you added 8 or some other number to the left side and 10 to the right side of the equation, you would be incorrect as in algebra you can't do this. So your current equation after adding 7 to both sides is: -16x = -16x Now you want to add 16x to both sides of the equation to have one side equal 0. By adding 16x to both sides of the equation you have 0=0. Don't panic now as that is okay! What this means is that the above statement (0=0) is true for all values of x and therefore all real numbers are solutions to the given equation. What this means is that if you plug any number into 'x' you will get the same answer on both sides of the equation.
