I need help finding the value of 1 / (cosec(x) - cot(x)) - 1 / sin(x) = ?
You need to use the properties of angles and trigonometry. After replacing the conversions of this problem with them, they are usually stated within a calculus textbook, your answer will be tan(x).
I need to find the integral from -1 to 5 of ((1 + w)(2w +w^2)^5 ) dw
You will need to use the U-Substitution method. Substitute u = 2w + w^2 so du = (2 + 2w) dw. Then you will need to change the upper and lower values of the integral. So, when w = -1, u = -1. And when w = 5, u = 35. Once you integrate and plug that information in, you should get an answer of 153188802.
I do not understand how to solve this problem. Evaluate |4 - 8(3 - 12)| - |5 - 11| =
You will need to use an order of operations to solve this problem. Start first by looking at what is in parenthesis and compete that: (3-12). Now, within the first absolute value brackets, the 8 is being multiplied by the (3-12), so after subtracting, you take that number and multiply it by 8. Since we just took out some signs, I suggest rewriting your problem with your new numbers in it so it should look like this: |4 - ( -72) | - |5 - 11| = Then, we will subtract what is in the absolute value signs each in their separate brackets, first |4 - ( -72) | . Now, |5 - 11|. After taking the absolute values (you take the positive value of whatever number is inside the brackets) of those and subtracting the two your answer should be 70.
