During my undergraduate degree and two years after I worked as a Wildland Firefighter. I was able to travel to 10 different states, including remote Alaska, the southern desert of Arizona, mountains in Oregon, and other great locations to protect land and forests. The skills I learned were invaluable when it comes to being pragmatic, organized, leading, and working together. However, philosophy and sociology got the best of me and I changed courses to be where I am today.
