Subject: Early Childhood Education
How can children between 3 and 5 years old be motivated to share and understand theirs and other classmates feelings?
Guiding children through a "map" of emotions, dividing feelings by colours and matching these colours with faces representing each emotion. Children often have difficulties sharing and understanding emotions because they are usually to presented with the possibility to categorize how they feel, thus giving way to frustrating and difficulties in the classroom. A new trend in Education is (luckily) providing a space where children can express their emotions and feelings. This provides teachers the opportunity to better understand and handle classroom dynamics.
