Repeat the reference question confirming the exact question. 4.) Search available resources. Keep patron informed of progress, ask clarifying questions as information is discovered. 5.) Answer. Provide information, cite sources, explain why you are using this particular resource to answer the patron's question. 6.) Follow-up. Confirm that you have answered the patron's question. Ask if he/she has everything he/she needs.
