What is biochemistry?
Many people are unaware of what biochemistry really is. As a degree holder of the Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry, Biochemistry is about studying how metabolic processes affect the life of different organisms--this include how alcohol affects our health, what happens to alcohol once we have consumed them, how fast alcohol is converted into a toxic substance which makes us 'intoxicated', how your genes affects the way you metabolize alcohol, and even why there are people who immediately turn red after ingesting so little alcohol.
Why is it necessary to study biology when we can leave them to the experts?
Biology is a field that studies how life works from one organism to another. Different species from different domains behave differently as they are created or unequally. If we leave them to the experts, we will never be able to understand how we should tackle crises such antibiotic resistance, bioremediation of pollutants, and even basic gardening. Biology encompasses everything where life is found.
Subject: English as a Second Language
How crucial is intonation in addition to good pronunciation when conversing with others in English?
Intonation plays a big role in spoken English to the point that having a flat or poor intonation may result in poorly conveyed information. When the incorrect or flat intonation is used when expressing your ideas to another person, especially when that person is inexperienced to different accents of English from around the world, the words in a sentence spoken will not be communicated and sound only like a one long word without spaces.
