Subject: SAT II Spanish
What is one of the most common type of questions found on this test?
Many of the questions included on the SAT Subject Test-Spanish ask students to identify the correct tense (preterite, conditional, future) for a given word, so that it makes the most sense in that particular sentence. They also focus on advanced vocabulary.
Why do foreign speakers, especially English speakers, see Spanish as one of the most challenging languages to learn?
The Spanish language has many different components that are unknown to English speakers, such as: genders, past tense (preterite vs imperfect), conditional tense, subjunctive, different sentence structure, etc. All these differences, when new to the student, can create a challenge and seem difficult at first, but with proper guidance and dedication, any student can master the Spanish language.
