What two components are required to make a group of words a sentence?
Each sentence is comprised of a subject and a predicate-- a main noun and a main verb. For instance, take the following: My mother flew to Pennsylvania. "My mother" is the subject of the sentence and "flew" is the predicate of the sentence. This is helpful in making sure all of your sentences in a paper or report are clear and concise.

How do I go about researching a paper on Jane Austen?
First, try to avoid using Google. There is an academic section of Google, but there are better ways to research for an academic paper. Second, rely on the Humanities databases in public and academic libraries. Third, each database has their own search interfaces. It is important you understand each subject interface so you know how to search for academic articles. Each database has a thesaurus that can assist you with subject terms.
How is Jane Austen's novel Persuasion different from her other novels?
In Persuasion, Austen's main character is a single woman who is 26 years old. In the time period of Austen, it was odd for a woman to still be single at that age. At this age, the main character is treated like an old maid and there is an assumption that she will live with her immediate family for the rest of her life. It is an interesting novel into the cultural views of courting and marriage in this time period since in today's society, 26 is an appropriate age to remain single.
