Which would be a better developmental endeavor? A) A single, one-hit-wonder idea that makes you instantly rich, but can only be sustained by a very finite niche of combined social demand and technology, which is unpredictable in longevity. B) A work ethic based upon perseverance, resourcefulness and entrepreneurial spirit.
I believe the answer is B, because it is more resilient to the fluctuations of time, economics and human nature. It can be applied to any problem, product or idea regardless of circumstantial changes. It cannot be taken away from an individual once attained, and most importantly, it can be passed along to others indefinitely through education, mentoring and example.

Terrorism, defined, is an act of violence committed against innocent people with the intent of frightening a larger audience to achieve a political goal. Insurgency is: an organized movement aimed at the overthrow of a constituted government using subversion and armed conflict, usually with an aim to get people to accept its governance or authority as legitimate. With those definitions in mind, does the United States face a war on terrorism, or a war against insurgency?
Currently the United States faces elements of both. Domestic terrorism is split about half and half; roughly 50% of domestic terrorist attacks being motivated by political goals (i.e. immigration reform, racism, political differences). The other 50% is predominantly religious extremism using terrorism as a tactic to further insurgent ideologies. Abroad, where the United States has assisted in supporting pro-democracy governments to protect US and allied interests, most terrorist attacks are religious extremism seeking to disenfranchise populations with the current governmental system in an effort to establish an ideologically preferable alternative. Whether the US should be focusing its efforts from the perspective of anti-terrorism or counterinsurgency is a topic that needs to be explored further, as they are very different in both strategy and tactics.
How do communication skills impact the true expression of your personal and professional capabilities to the outside world?
In my experience, the quality of an individual's communication skills immediately produces insight to a person's intelligence, self-worth, responsibility, competence and capability. Communication skills act like a billboard for others to make an initial assessment of specific attributes of a person or entity (i.e. business or organization). An individual may hold incredible abilities in business management, but if those abilities are expressed through poor communication skills that person may be hard pressed to find a company willing to give them the benefit of the doubt. As a result, what is truly there is never capitalized on because of poor communication skills.
