What is one of the differences between ALA citations and MLA citations?
One difference is with their in-text citations. MLA citations follow the author-page format and APA citations follow the author-date format. The APA paper will have the author's last name and year of publication in parenthesis after the quoted text. The MLA paper will include the author's last name and page number, also in parenthesis, after the text.

What are some of the various services a librarian can offer?
Librarians are far from the shushing stereotypes of 50 years ago, and can help you with a variety of services such as: researching, writing, finding that book you will love, providing you with movies, offering you a space to study with your peers, and finding the answers to all of your questions.
Why is grammar and syntax important in the English language?
Grammar is most important so that you can know whether you will be 'eating grandma' or telling grandma that you are eating soon. For example: 'let's eat grandma' and 'let's eat, grandma' have two very different meanings. The first example says that grandma is on the menu, while the second one is using direct address to tell grandma that it is time to eat.
