Questions

Subject: Writing

TutorMe
Question:

I want to write a novel, how do I go about starting the process?

Answer:

When writing a story of any kind, creating an outline can be helpful. It will allow you to keep track of characters, story lines, conflicts, and other details. There are also plenty of Social Media groups on the subject of writing, it would benefit to join some groups and see what others are doing. Biggest advice i can give is, start writing. Do not worry right away about making it perfect. There will be time for editing and redrafts of your work. Enjoy getting the initial idea on paper.

Answer:

There are a great amount of study techniques that one can use to help organize and take in new information, and retain information. A popular method for aiding the retention of lists or information, is the use of mnemonics. Another helpful technique, is notetaking, so that one can reference back to those notes when needed. One of the most important and effective concentration techniques to help when studying, is to find an environment free of distraction or noise.

Question:

What are some of the challenges the Cataloging courses are facing as a whole, and when it pertains to the new RDA format of cataloging?

Answer:

It appears that more and more students are preferring to go into the Reference and Public eye of librarianship. Catalogers, who work in the backgrounds, are finding it slightly more difficult to hire librarians with that specialty. And as for the issue with RDA. It is still a somewhat new concept and everyone has a different way of cataloging, With cataloging being somewhat subjective, and unified way of doing things can at times be a challenge as well.
