How do I find a qualitative and a qualitative article I am working on an article critique and I need one of each to analyze, I am not sure how to look for them on the databases
Hello, I found this good source that provides a definition of both, qualitative and quantitative article. http://researchguides.ebling.library.wisc.edu/c.php?g=293229&p=1953454 Based on the definition you can search for that particular type of study. CINAHL has a limitation filter for publication type, as well as for RCT's, depending on what type of article you are searching for: quantitative or qualitative. You only mentioned a qualitative study, so you would be using studies that fall under this category. I hope this helped. If you need assistance, I can assist.
I am trying to locate article that explains the science of nursing using CINAHL I am coming up with nothing
Of course. Go to CINAHL and enter science of nursing on the first search space. Then select at the bottom science of nursing as the keyword. On your upper right you will see that you can either select explode or major concept. The difference between these two is that your topic may be mention "science of nursing" in explode, but it really does not concentrate on this topic. It is best to select major concept in this case, for it to focus on keyword. Run the search and you be able to find a citation to use. If the results are too huge we may need to combine science of nursing with another term.
