I have been an adjunct lecturer for almost ten years. My doctoral work researched aspects of 19th-century Irish and British religion, and in particular the life of the founders of the Congregation of the Sisters of St. Joseph of Peace. I am also interested in medieval history/philosophy and art, Egyptian history, archaeology, sociology, and have worked on such topics as the medieval inquisition, heresy and sainthood, women's roles/lives, nationalism and imperialism in the early modern and modern European period.
