Answer:

When we typically think of culture, we think of Dance, Food, traditional customs and values, songs, and the way in which people live their lives. Often, we forget that medicine is part of this culture, and for many cultures, it is a driving force for also understanding and harmonizing with life. Medicine and the Health and well being of people takes on many forms in society. from Physical and Mental, to also encompassing the soul and portraying health and medicine as things to calm not just the body, but also the mind.

Answer:

The Pygmalion effect i when we project our expectations onto someone/something, usually positive, and because of those expectations, our way of interacting with that person/thing, becomes different and much more positive, which in turn, also supports that person more than it would for others who do not receive those projects of our expectations.

Question:

What is the relationship between the environment in which someone grows up in (like family household environment or environment they lived in during their youth) and the level of academic success that are able to achieve in their life?

Answer:

The environment a student is brought up in has as much of a role to play as the way we teach. It has been shown in many cases that, from an educational point of view, students who are part of a well-organized family unit are more likely to succeed in academics, as compared to students who might be lacking care from either parent or from a general support unit. It is known with many African American families for example, that due to nature the family bonds and closeness of family members, African American schoolchildren receive much more support and assistance from those same family members, and often are able to have a much more positive upbringing. This is very similar to Latin American families as well, as there is much support and cohesiveness derived from the family unit, making it easier to rely on family and also have a family as a guide in times of hardship. In both cases, students from those types of family units, tend to do much better proportionally to those children and students who are not fortunate enough to have the same type of support system.
