Answer:

Assume the number 24 The factors of 24 are 1 x 24 =24 12 x 2 = 24 8 x 3 = 24 6 x 4 = 24 The factors of 24 are 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 8, 12 and 24 From this we can say that 24 is the greatest factor of a number 24. Hence proved.

Question:

SF4 is easily hydrolysed whereas SF6 is not easily hydrolysed. Explain.

Answer:

S atom in SF4 is not sterically protected as it is surrounded by only four F atoms, so attack of water molecules can take place easily. In contrast, S atom in SF6 is protected by six F atoms. Thus attack by water molecules cannot take place easily.

Question:

In case of motional EMF induced in a loop due to the sliding of a rod over a U shaped conducting wire, we consider the case where the velocity of the rod is constant. Why do we not consider a case where velocity is changing w.r.t time i.e., where an acceleration comes into play? Also, in the methods of inducing emf, why don't we consider a change in velocity of the coil (linear in case of a rod sliding over U shaped wire and angular in case of the rod rotating)?

Answer:

We can definitely consider the scenario wherein the velocity is changing. However, the emf induced on the loop will not remains constant and will constantly change. This will make the measurement of emf very difficult.
