Nourhan I.
Answer:

I like to listen to podcasts in Spanish, as well as checking out some of my favorite news subjects in Spanish. For example, I read about global health issues in Spanish to practice my vocabulary and comprehension skills. Listening to podcasts helps me improving my listening and speaking capabilities.

Question:

What's a tip for improving SAT Evidence-Based Reading scores?

Answer:

In my experience, a really good technique to use when completing reading comprehension on the SAT is to actively read passages. This means to underline and circle key points. When answering questions, make sure the answer choices you pick can be linked back to a specific part of the passage. Oftentimes when such a connection cannot be formed, you might have to think about a different answer choice.

Question:

If you are given thirty minutes to plan and write a persuasive essay, what is a good way to structure your time?

Answer:

I would suggest spending the first five minutes clearly brainstorming ideas based on the prompt. This should look like developing a rough outline of an intro with a clearly stated argument, three supporting paragraphs, and a conclusion to wrap up thoughts. I would spend 20 minutes writing, and the last five proofreading. When writing such an essay, it is important to keep in mind cogent topic sentences, clear examples, and varied sentence structure.
