Solve this equation: -3 + 5x = 27

Answer:

This is a one step equation. Our goal for this problem is to find what the variable 'x' equals. Follow these steps to solve the equation: Step 1: Get rid of any numbers associated with the variable. In this equation we have (on the left hand side of the equal sign where the variable is), the number -3 added with 5x. In order to get rid of this negative number (-3) we add 3 to it (opposite operation) and to the other side of the equal sign as well. ***The 5x remains same*** Like this: -3 + 5x = 27 __________ +3 +3 Adding the same number to its negative, cancels it out (-3+3=0). We are left with: 5x = 30. Step 2: Solve for x. In order to get rid of the 5 which is being multiplied with x, and to obtain only the variable, 'x', we divide the number 5 to both sides of the equation. ***Remember: What you do to one side, you do it to other side as well of the equal sign!*** Like this: 5x = 30 Equation from Step 1. 5x / 5 = x 30 / 5 = 6 Dividing 5x by 5, we are left with just 'x' and 30 divided by 5 is 6. We are left with: x = 6. Equation solved. Always recheck your answer, by checking if its true like so: Plug in the value for 'x' back in original equation. Like this: -3 + 5(6) = 27 -3 + 30 = 27 which is correct. Thus, x = 6.

Question:

What is 1/4 divided by 1/2?

Answer:

The question is: (1/4) / (1/2) = ? The rule to dividing fractions, is that you change the division operation to multiplication by multiplying the first fraction with the reciprocal of the second fraction. This is done by the following steps: Step 1: Identify the first and second fractions. First fraction is 1/4. Second fraction is 1/2. Step 2: Find reciprocal of second fraction. Reciprocal of a fraction is basically switching the denominator and numerator of the fraction. Reciprocal of 1/2 is 2/1....(2/1) is the new fraction. Step 3: Multiply the first fraction with the new fraction (that is reciprocal from Step 2): (1/4) * (2/1) = 2/4. Simplify this fraction --> 1/2. Thus, (1/4) / (1/2) = 1/2.

Question:

When you open YouTube website, the homepage for example, there are so many things going on. This website is dynamic, which means its always changing by content. The first thing you see is the YouTube logo in white letters in red background. Next you'd see there are videos, links, a search bar, sections for trending videos, and your profile, recommendations, subscriptions, etc. How is this all created?

Answer:

The answer is HTML5 Progamming. This programming language consists of many languages pertaining to creating web pages or web sites. A single dynamic website like YouTube.com is built upon the languages like Html, CSS, JavaScript, Database, and others that are pretty complex. However, in order to create a very basic web page, you'd need to use HTML, CSS, and JavaScript languages. HTML creates the actual content or web frame of the web page that includes title, headings, paragraphs, images, links, etc. YouTube has several links, like Home, Trending, Subscriptions, etc. CSS is short for Cascading Style Sheet. This language is concerned with the aesthetics of the web page, meaning the color(s), fonts, etc which makes the web page more attractive. YouTube website is full of color. Their logo and SUBSCRIBE buttons are in white letters with red background in rectangle shape. JavaScript enables the behavior of the web page meaning that when you click on a button, it will direct you to another web page. For an example on the YouTube home page, if you click on Sign In button, it'd direct you to another web page to sign in or sign up, obviously. This is just a small part of JavaScript but it makes the web page come alive and its really a fun language to learn! All the minor and major parts of a web page are created with HTML5 Programming Languages. Any click, enter, typing that is done is credited to this programming.
